The UK Dating Podcasts That I Can’t Get Enough Of
I was late to the party when it came to podcasts. Between tuning into audiobooks and a handful of my favourite YouTubers, I thought that I had more than enough on my digital plate to keep me entertained and informed. But then I got sucked into the world of Serial, and what can I say? It became a bit of a slippery slope, and now I’ve probably got more subscriptions than I can realistically keep up with.
You might have guessed by now, but I’m a bit obsessed with navigating the world of modern relationships, and so it wasn’t long until I got hooked on UK dating podcasts. Fancy a piece of the action? Here’s a selection of the ones that really float my boat…
Cherry, Anniki, and Lisa make up the dream team behind The Hotbed, and this laugh-a-minute podcast tackles important issues like feminism, sex, and orgasms. I particularly enjoy the episodes where Dr Karen makes an appearance, explaining things from an expert point of view. Ultimately, The Hotbed makes me feel like I’m having a great chat with old friends over a few glasses of wine. Long may it continue.
Swipe Left Swipe Left
Swipe Left Swipe Left has added a truly unique voice to the scene of UK dating podcasts, and I find myself tentatively waiting on the edge of my seat for the next instalment to be released. Each episode, we delve into real life stories of love and romance, from the awkward to the downright ridiculous. Perhaps not surprisingly when you consider the title, there’s often a side helping of politics and Brexit based discussion.
Hosted by UK dating coach Laura Yates, Bounce Back gives us a lesson on resilience and picking ourselves up when things go pear shaped with relationships, health, and all the other aspects of our lives. You’ll find everything from interviews and stories to serious relationship advice and guidance that will get you back on the right track.
Journalist and writer Dolly Alderton is becoming a force to be reckoned with when it comes to the sex and dating landscape, and if you enjoyed her bestselling book Everything I Know About Love, then you’ll definitely want to catch up with her on Love Stories. What I love most with this one is the real-life stories that her guests share, and just how relatable they all are. None of us are immune to matters of the heart, after all.
There are plenty of quality UK dating podcasts to choose from, and I’m excited to see the up and coming voices that emerge over the next few years.
Do you have any additional UK dating podcasts that you’d add to this list?
